Adams (1879-1945) left an enduring legacy through his entrepreneurial spirit and vision for the citrus industry’s growth. Known for co-founding Adams Packing Association and Growers Fertilizer Cooperative, Adams greatly influenced packing, processing, and marketing infrastructure, essential to the industry's advancement during challenging times, including the Great Depression and World War II.
Dr. Jim Graham, renowned for his extensive career at the University of Florida’s Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred, has made groundbreaking contributions to citrus pathology and management strategies. His dedicated research has provided critical insights into managing diseases like citrus canker and HLB, making him a global authority whose expertise continues to benefit growers worldwide.
Dan Richey, a pillar within Florida’s fresh fruit sector, has tirelessly championed the citrus industry’s interests at both state and federal levels. His leadership roles in various citrus organizations, combined with his commitment to enhancing trade and regulatory protocols, have significantly expanded market opportunities for Florida growers. Richey’s advocacy and industry expertise have made him a respected figure among politicians, media, and industry peers alike.
