TradeMark Nitrogen’s Commitments to Sustainability:
- Monitoring and Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions: TradeMark Nitrogen is committed to minimizing the emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) from our operations. We maintain the operations of our facility to meet all EPA and FL DEP emission requirements.
- Protecting Natural Water Resources: TradeMark Nitrogen is committed to reducing water consumption and waste by monitoring our well water usage, reusing cooling water, repurposing rainwater for production, and capturing steam condensate to reduce boiler make-up. TradeMark also maintains a Hyacinth lined pond system within the facility to minimize nutrient run-off and we monitor the discharge water at our outfall to ensure it meets the nutrient levels within the required standards.
- Eliminating Waste: TradeMark Nitrogen is committed to minimizing our impact on total energy consumption by reusing the heat from our Nitric Acid Plant to generate steam and assist in driving the compressor to reduce the power required for the Plant. We also minimize our waste by repurposing byproducts from the process and avoid creating material that would otherwise go to landfills.
- Community Outreach: TradeMark Nitrogen is dedicated to supporting local communities by funding FFAA scholarships for students pursuing agricultural studies. Additionally, we collaborate with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to support graduate student programs.
- Employee Safety: At TradeMark Nitrogen ensuring our employees are able to work safe every day is part of our mission. Employees are provided with PPE and Computer-Based Training to keep them informed and prepared to deal with the hazards they may encounter in the workplace. Through this program TradeMark has maintained an excellent safety record with minimal recordable injuries.
