Join TradeMark Nitrogen, a trusted name in the chemical manufacturing industry, as we seek an experienced and driven Facility Engineer. Based in Tampa, FL, this role plays a vital part in the safe, compliant, and efficient operations of our ammonia and nitrate-based production facility.

Position Overview

The Facility Engineer ensures compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations, supports continuous plant operations, leads maintenance initiatives, and helps deliver key capital projects. You will work alongside our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team and operations staff to promote safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards
  • Support PHAs, MOCs, incident investigations, audits, and corrective actions
  • Lead engineering initiatives related to nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, and aqua ammonia systems
  • Oversee the maintenance department and ensure effective use of CMMS tools
  • Manage capital and maintenance projects, including scope, schedule, and contractor oversight
  • Drive Mechanical Integrity program improvements and ensure documentation readiness for inspections
  • Provide technical training to operations and maintenance teams
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience in a chemical or industrial facility
  • Thorough knowledge of PSM/RMP standards and best practices
  • Experience with ammonia systems and chemical manufacturing preferred
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CMMS platforms and process engineering tools
  • Ability to work onsite and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required
