Customer Logistics Coordinator

This role is an important part of TradeMark Nitrogen’s customer service and logistics team, supporting timely shipments, accurate documentation, and strong communication in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

This role primarily involves managing orders, maintaining inventory, generating sales reports, engaging in customer interactions, and overseeing logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

  • Facilitate daily logistics operations with customers and carriers
  • Efficiently process customer orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Regularly update scheduling and monthly pricing, including managing pricing exceptions
  • Proactively provide customers with shipment updates from freight carriers
  • Prepare and execute daily bills of lading for shipments
  • Manage customer sample requests, maintain a sample log, and track sample shipments via FedEx, UPS, or other carriers

Inventory Management

  • Handle internal inventory transfers and movements
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with and review vendor invoices for production materials and packaging supplies

Sales

  • Generate daily sales reports for internal management
  • Support marketing and sales departments with special projects as required
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives to ensure consistent, seamless communication with customers and prospects, enhancing responsiveness

Logistics

  • Coordinate customer shipments, maintaining high service levels at optimal costs
  • Review truck and rail freight invoices for accuracy in the processing phase
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product inventory
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and brokers to ensure reliable, efficient transportation and consistent service performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong data entry skills with accurate typing and familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Aptitude for mathematics and attention to detail
  • IMDG, IATA, and DOT hazmat training must be completed within 90 days; prior training is preferred
  • Practical experience in purchasing, including basic negotiation skills and an understanding of supply chain fundamentals
  • Exceptional customer service skills, capable of managing customer inquiries and resolving common issues with a positive and proactive attitude

Education and Experience

  • An associate degree is preferred; however, candidates with substantial relevant experience demonstrating equivalent skills and knowledge will be strongly considered.
